2016-2017 Parent Survey
Lakeview Elementary
Overall we had about 140 parents complete our parent survey. This was an increase in participation in comparison to 2014 but still a rather small sampling. For the most part, people who took the time to complete the survey either liked us a lot or not so much. However, we will take it all as useful feedback that can help drive our work.
Only 1 parent reported not having access to the internet.

Next Steps - Communication
Grade Level/Teacher Newsletters
Keep up to date:
Instructional content - what is coming up next in the curriculumCalendars - dates for quizzes and tests with links for study guides/materials
Resources - Independent practice sites (TTM, RAZ Kids, Audible...)
Have previous newsletters still available on the website so parents can go back to look for information.
Sending home student work/rubrics with feedback
When appropriate send home student work with grades/feedback. Lets parents see what is taking place in the classroom and what our campus expectations are.
Also, when appropriate send out examples or models of what meeting/exceeding assignment expectations look like.
Moodle/Google Classroom
Great place for sharing up and coming schedule - tests, quizzes, projects, calendar, etc...
Teacher Websites
Another place to house newsletters and calendars. Easy to link to moodle, google classroom, See Saw, and student eportfolios. Jodi, Gailanne, and Kelli can all help with websites.
