Summer Professional Development Opportunities for ES Mathematics Planning and Pacing Guides

The mathematics office will be providing optional academy courses for teachers this summer. These courses support teachers in using the grade level Mathematics Planning and Pacing Guides to provide meaningful mathematics instruction. Participants will engage in grade level mathematics content and learn instructional strategies for teaching that content. Each course focuses on teaching the first and second quarter mathematics content using high-leverage teaching practices that support the needs of all learners aligned with the Portrait of a Graduate. The courses will be developed and facilitated by classroom teachers and mathematics resource teachers who have played a significant role in both writing and field testing the mathematics planning and pacing guides.


Interested participants can register on MyPLT June 6-17, 2016. The online course catalog will be posted on May 20, 2016 for teachers to preview for additional details.
