Information for EOC testing weeks
Teachers –
If you are NOT teaching an EOC course, please refrain from using devices that connect to the AHS Wi-Fi (surfaces, cell phones, etc.) in your lessons from April 24 – May 5.
All schools are being asked to do this to minimize testing disruptions. Thank you for understanding & please don’t kill the messenger!
Bell Schedule Survey
As we work to expand our potential here at AHS, we have been examining our current bell schedule to determine adjustments that we might make to better serve our students, staff, and community. In the fall, we conducted focus groups with parents, students, and teachers, and at this point, we have prepared a potential bell schedule and would love your feedback!
Please visit the link below to read about our goals, view a proposed draft of the bell schedule, and respond to two survey questions that will help us determine our next steps.

This week’s tip: sending an Outlook Invitation.
When responding to a request for Tech Assistance, whether by e-mail, phone/walkie, note or in person, I will often ask that the Customer send an Outlook Invite for a time when I can come and address the issue. This allows you, the Customer, to select the day & time most convenient for you and lets me to be the least obtrusive that I can be.
Instructions for sending an Invite are on the T Drive in the AHS Technology folder. I can also e-mail them upon request.
This is also your weekly reminder to back up your data.
Have an excellent week!

Are you looking for a good book?
Here is the AHS Media Center recommendation for the week:
The Southern Vampire Novels by Charlaine Harris (The HBO series True Blood)
This series is fun to read and entertaining. (These books are a mindless mystery). In The Southern Vampire Mysteries/True Blood Series, Harris develops a detailed mythology and alternate history that approaches supernatural beings as real; at the beginning of the series, vampires' existence has only been public knowledge for a couple of years, while other supernatural beings, such as werewolves, shapeshifters, faeries, etc., exist but do not go public until later in the series. The setting is contemporary, and the stories occasionally reference popular culture.
Quote for the week
"In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact.”
