December Super Second Grade News
Mrs. Adamovich's Super Loopers
We are coding! What's coding you ask?
We have been getting our toes wet in second grade, learning about computer science with the help of code.org. My students have been loving this fun opportunity. We try to do an hour of coding a week. Code.org teaches basic programming skills step by step in a way that is fun, engaging, and to be honest most students don't even realize they are learning how to computer program! The courses on code.org start very simple and advance the progress and skills as the student progresses through the courses. Each student in the class takes it at their own pace. If your child would like to access their code.org account at home you can find the class login link below. I also will send home their login in cards on Friday December 11th.
Winter Family Fun Night is Next Week!
RSVP's are in and planning is under way! The other second grade teachers and I are busy planning a fun night for your family next Thursday, December 17th! Family fun night will begin promptly at 5 pm. Dinner will be provided and cookies for the children to decorate. We will start our family night movie, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, at 5:30 pm. Don't worry if you were unable to attend, stay tuned for another fun family outside adventure in February or March. I can't wait to see you all!
ERES Holiday Program
Friday, Dec. 18th, 2pm
The second and fourth graders have been practicing very hard to bring you all some Holiday Cheer on Friday the 18th at 2:00 pm. The program will be in the High School Auditorium! These unique holiday songs are so catchy! Please let me know if you would like to sign your child out directly after the program. I will have a sign out sheet at the program! See you there!! Don't miss it!
