New user guides have been updated by the district so if you had trouble accessing programs online before please use the new information given and try again. Think Through Math is a very important tool for your child's success. Your child will be given some homework each week to do in Think Through Math. Think Through Math practice increases the chance of STAAR success in math and your child's readiness for 5th grade. Please have your child login to Think Through Math each week to practice their skills.

- Be sure your child has a healthy snack, water, and a light jacket due to temperature in the classrooms
- Please remember to refrain from writing sweet, encouraging notes to your child on STAAR day. Students are not to be exposed to any literature outside their STAAR test.
Week of March 21st - Change in Homework - PLEASE READ
Next week we are doing a special writing project. Students will be asked to bring in something that is special to them on Monday, March 21, 2016. It does not need to be of extreme value and it should be able to fit in your child's locker. If it is something they can’t bring due to size or value, then your child may bring a picture of that item or draw a picture. Each item will be shared in class.
No spelling words this week. Editing practice passages will come home for your child to complete.
Math homework will be different this week:
- Next week your child will be assigned a pathway in TX G4 Financial Literacy to do as homework in Think Through Math. The lessons are due by Thursday, March 24, 2016. Students will NOT be given a worksheet this week, ONLY Think Through Math lessons. It will take your child more than 30 minutes so they need to do a little bit each day. The lessons have been assigned so your child can even begin on these lessons now.
Math
Thursday Place Value worksheet pgs. 24 & 25
30 minutes of Think Through Math completed by Friday at home. Any minutes done over the weekend will count towards the following week.
Week of March 21st your child will be assigned Financial Literacy lessons through Think Through Math. These will be due by Thursday, March 24th. No paper homework assignments. These lessons will take more than one evening to complete so please plan time accordingly to fit your schedule. Your child may need between 1-2 hours to complete the lessons.
Spelling & Reading
Thursday: Expository Writing Practice Paper Due
- needs to be at least 3/4 of a page
- Writing prompt: Think about choices of careers and how these careers might interest you. Write about a career you would like to have some day. Explain how that career matches your interests and talents.
Think Through Math - 30 min each week
