Civil War
The Civil War was one of the worst wars fought in US history. It claimed the more American lives than any other wars.The war lasted 4 years. 620,000 lives were lost in that one war. This shaped America because it changed the way our government worked, our military worked, and the way we lived.

World War I was a brutal time period for America. The men went off to war and the women had to work. This showed that America was prepared for anything to happen. When this happened the men would fight and the women would prepare things that they needed.

World War II was a rough time for all Americans because they had to had many things that they had to give up. When the men left that was the main source of work. The women had to fill that role. When the women left that was what took care of the kids and the home. Many things had to be given up during both WWI and WWII.
