Monday Memo
August 18, 2019
Great Things!
And we are off and running with the 2019-2020 school year! What a great first couple of days; parents were smiling, kids were laughing, and staff was full of energy! The building had a fantastic feel about it. Thank you to everyone for welcoming our students and families, and making it a smooth transition from summer to school!
Thank you to Kim McGaugh and Tressie for getting the tape down on the floors so that we can be safe in the hallways and cafe-gym-a-torium! So helpful!
Hopefully you have also noticed that a grounds crew was present and cleaned up the flower beds and grass around our building. So much better now!
Challenge: Teachers- take the visual M.A.P. that you wrote about in our PD last Tuesday and put it in place this week. Take the picture you need, create the visuals you need, and post it where it is helpful to you and the students. M.A.P.s help students know what the expectations are, know what is coming next, and have a plan for the activity.
Dates to remember:
August 29: Fire Drills
September 4: 12:30-2:30 CD PD with Karen Hickman (all staff)
