NFDL Curriculum & Instruction
Please checkout our Teaching and Learning page on our district website. This page is located under the "District" tab. Here you will find standards, assessment cut scores, our NFDL instructional Handbook, evaluation dates, priority standards, our NFDL RtI handbook, and more.
- District Definition - Differentiation = Responding to Student Needs.
- District Definition - Data = Any Information About a Student.
We have much work taking place throughout the district to review academic standards, establish priority learning, and deconstruct standards into learning targets. We have multiple content areas working on this work right now. Thank you for all that you are doing and for being a part of this important work - it could not be accomplished without you!!
Something to Think About...
"There are barriers in curriculum, not in students."
"There are no average learners; only average lessons and lessons that meet the average."
Do you believe in the power of us?
NFDL Assessment
Our district uses a Balanced Assessment System approach (summative, benchmark, formative) to assessing student learning. We value multiple measures of data, as opposed to using one source of information.
- ACCESS Testing Window - December 3-February 1
- State Report Cards were made public on November 13th
Formative Assessments
How do you know students met your daily learning target?
How does this guide your next steps?
Assessment Resources:
Effectiveness Project - My Learning Plan
We believe in using instructionally sound practices to impact student learning, not to impact the Effectiveness Project. If we do this, our work in Frontline will take care of itself.
