Welcome back PJMS families! We had such a roller-coaster of a month. We had our Annual Holiday Lunch including all of the staff and over 570 students, enjoyed a great display of Duct Taping Mr. Geagel to a wall to celebrate a successful fundraiser and if we didn't have enough going on, mother nature threw us a curveball and added an Earthquake in the mix.
With all the fun and excitement, PJMS landed on top and handled it all like champs. We have the best team here and the students are all phenomenal!
Special Shout Outs
We would like to make a special shout out to all the teachers with all of the communication between announcements to the students and keeping the calm.
To all of the students for keeping quite, taking and following each instruction as they were given to you.
To all of the staff for helping keeping the calm. Keeping communication, helping out everywhere that was needed.
To all of the parents for being very flexible as we located each and every student that was here at PJMS. Staying calm and listening to directions and even to those parents that stepped up and volunteered to assist with locating students and bringing them down from classes.
Thank you all, with out you and all of your great work we would not be the wonderful team that we are!

Our School Fundraiser Was a great Success! We raised over $2000. The students had so much fun taping Mr. Geagel to the wall. He was such a great sport he stayed up on the wall for over an hour and a half. Thank you for all your help and all the team effort we experienced to make this a great fundraiser.
Holiday Lunch
Student Health Program
Each year parents have to submit or review their student’s health information using the CareDox program. Parents who register on CareDox can authorize Nurse Voran to give their child over-the-counter medications as needed and parents receive e-mail alerts every time their child is seen by the nurse.
Please take time to complete the CareDox health enrollment. If you have a health-related question, please contact Nurse Voran at 907-761-4309. If you need assistance logging into CareDox, please contact the Call Center at 907-761-4357.
FRED MEYER COMMUNITY REWARDS
Palmer Junior Middle School is part of the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program.
To Use the Fred Meyer Community Rewards Program:Simply visit https://www.fredmeyer.com. Once logged into your Fred Meyer account you can search for Palmer Junior Middle School either by name or BJ629 and then click Enroll. New users will need to create an account which requires some basic information, a valid email address and a rewards card.
*Customers must have a registered Fred Meyer rewards card account to link to your organization.
*If a member does not yet have a Fred Meyer rewards card, please know they are available at the customer service desk at any Fred Meyer
Students are invited with their parents to come and decorate cookies, gingerbread houses and have an evening of games and fun! Save the date and come join us December 5th from 3:00pm-4:00pm

FREE & REDUCED MEAL PROGRAM- YOU MUST RENEW EACH YEAR!
FREE & REDUCED MEAL PROGRAM
Parents can submit applications to enroll their student(s) in the free and reduced meal program. Applications should be submitted annually and may be completed online through SchoolCafe or via a printable application. Paper applications cannot be submitted via email or fax, but must be submitted to the student's school or directly to Nutrition Services (690 E Cope Industrial Way, Palmer, AK 99645).
The application process will require the following information be provided:
- Total household size
- Income for all household members (Income guidelines are available here)
- Student name(s)
- Additional information that is helpful, though not required, includes the student's birth date, enrolled school, and MSBSD ID number
