Important information about the TRANSITION to Semester 2
Dear Panthers,
As we transition from Semester 1 to Semester 2, you will see a few new things in various programs. In order to help students struggling with internet access, quarantine orders and time management, we decided to leave our semester 1 open for an additional week so students could complete projects and tests. This means you will see both semesters at one time in all of our learning management systems. All work from Semester 1 is due 1/22 to qualify for the semester 1 grade. In addition, we are hosting a make up work opportunity in the library during lunches this week to allow students to complete tests or get some help.
Specific Details:
REAL Platform: So a student’s first semester work and grade transfers with them, English and a few math classes will have extra projects that appear in the year view. These projects will be in blue and NOT impact a student’s grade. As students settle into their classes, the extra projects will disappear. Social Studies and Science class views will not be impacted. Students changing teachers or classes will show both S1 and S2 classes.
GOOGLE CLASSROOMS: in many cases, students will need to join new classes for S2. Class codes to join will be given this first week of classes. Weekly parent reports will follow any classes that students join.
EDGENUITY ONLINE CLASSES: students will have many course “tiles” and they need to continue to focus on S1 classes before they start S2. The timeline on S2 classes starts Monday 1/18 with the beginning of the semester. S1 tiles will be removed as students complete courses and we verify the course grades on transcripts.

WPHS Panther Pride Athletic Boosters
The WPHS Panther Pride Athletic Boosters are excited for our Winter Sports season to kick off. We have missed filling the stands with Panther gear wearing fans and we look forward to the day when we can all gather again and cheer for our student athletes! We have created an online store to offer the opportunity for families and community members to purchase Panther gear to sport your Panther Pride and continue to support our WPHS student athletes. All proceeds from our merchandise sales go directly toward the WPHS athletic programs. Orders can be placed online and then a drive by pickup with payment will be scheduled and coordinated through the Boosters. Let’s Go Panthers!
