Today is Digital Learning Day!
We had a wonderful time showcasing the purposeful integration of technology into instruction. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to write an article for West Chester Living magazine that will be published in March. I chose to write about the journey WTE is on in terms of innovative teaching and learning. For those new to the K-12 experience, we are not attempting to utilize technology in every minute of the day. Rather, we are striving to keep our work relevant by finding the places it is most useful to integrate. We are a work in progress but, we should all be proud of the excellent work being done at WTE. As I shared with teachers this morning, their success in technology integration is not measured by how small or big the changes being made. Rather, it is measured by the mindset each brings to the challenge of ongoing growth and overcoming obstacles to ensure students are getting what they need for their future.
Kindness Challenge
Can We Do It?
We definitely know the assembly hit the mark with some students. One parent shared:
I couldn’t figure out why, for the past week, my son has been coming home from the bus stop late. So, yesterday, I decided to investigate. I watched him out the window get his 80 year old neighbors mail and take it to their front door to give it to them. He has been doing it for the past week since the Kindness assembly!
The Winner Is...
Yearbook Cover Contest
All students who submitted a design will get his/her artwork back along with a certificate. It takes a lot of courage to put artwork out for others and we appreciate the willingness of each student to get involved!
