Community Assistance
If your family is in need of financial assistance, we have a few resources to offer that may be able to help.
Feasterville Rotary donates new coats to children who may need them. Please contact a staff member listed below by October 6th to order your coat.
Free lunch applications, list of Food Pantries, heating assistance, and other community resources are available as well.
We will be contacting clubs and organizations in the area on your behalf to make a truly “Happy Holiday” for your family. Since we do not know how many organizations will respond to our appeal, we cannot guarantee the type or the amount of gifts your children will receive. These donations may be in the form of food, gifts or gift certificates.
Please contact the nurse’s office or our guidance counselors for further information.

Math Challenge
Math Challenge #2 is now available on the website. I also attached a copy of the challenge and answer key in case you want to print. MC 2 is due October 18th. I will also post it in Google Classroom in case anyone wants to do it electronically.
There are 2 options for turning in the Math Challenge. Students can turn in the paper copy as we have always done, or they can use Google Classroom to complete an electronic copy (for families that may not want to print). If your students complete the Math Challenge using the electronic copy in Google Classroom, they need to make sure they:
1. Download the document with annotations when they are done.
2. Attach it to the assignment.
3. Turn it in.
CONGRATS TO SECOND GRADE FOR THE HIGHEST PARTICIPATION FOR MATH CHALLENGE 1!
Here Comes the Bus app
Neshaminy has a bus-tracking app called "Here Comes the Bus" (HCTB). This app allows parents to see the location of their child's bus in real time. The app works on both iOS and Android operating systems.
Early Dismissals
Safety of all students and staff is a top priority at Tawanka, so we have strict safety procedures in place. A reminder of the following:
Building Entry: All visitors must scan their driver's license or state issued ID at the kiosk in the front vestibule and wait for entry. This is required at every visit, or access will be denied.
Early Dismissals: Please notify the teacher with a written note if your child will be picked up early. If being picked up by someone other than a parent/guardian, please specify who will be picking up your child. Students will only be released to individuals listed on the emergency card, but the office must be notified prior to pick-up. Students must be signed out in the main office. Again, driver's license or state issued ID is required to pick up a student. We strongly encourage early dismissals be no later than 3:00 pm.
PTO Fundraisers
Volunteer Clearances
Parents and Guardians who plan to serve as field trip chaperones and/or volunteers at school must have current clearances on file with he school district. For additional information on clearances, including all related links, please click on the link below.
Please be sure to read all information. Volunteer applications need to be completed online and will enable volunteers to register for multiple buildings at the same time.
Since the approval process can take several weeks, please file for your clearances ASAP so that they are in place when needed.
