FOSTER CREATIVITY! SUMMER WORKSHOP
The Importance of Fostering Creativity 2-Week summer course!
Our Popular 2-Week Workshop offered in SAN RAMON!
"The Importance of Fostering Creativity - EDUO 9766" - 6 Semester Units - $695
New York Times best selling author Ken Robinson raised the question as to whether schools kill creativity. Unfortunately, studies have shown that past and present educational practices have led to generations of students who are great at rote learning and following directions, but lacking in creative thinking. This skill deficiency causes problems in our job market, as it is well known that the jobs of today and those of tomorrow demand employees with creative and entrepreneurial talents. Creativity is said to be inherent in all of us, but it needs to be cultivated. We need to increase the value of creativity in our classrooms and encourage it across the curriculum.
This six unit class, taught for over 30 years by our instructional team, will involve many hands-on activities to help you create a classroom that fosters creativity. The projects, readings, and activities will not only give you a repertoire of exciting new ideas, but will allow for powerful discussions that will compel you towards creative teaching.
