Presidents' Message
Hello Hiteon Families,
We hope that you are all doing well and settling into all of your fall traditions as we enjoy this season of Thanksgiving. We want to say a huge thank you to all of the families who submitted entries to our pumpkin carving contest in October. We had over 70 entries and it was so much fun to see all of the creative ideas the kids came up with. We also held our Annual Bookfair online this year and total sales so far are $2,045.10. Hiteon receives 25% of the total sales in Scholastic dollars to purchase new books for the library. Thank you to Laura Yarnell for coordinating again this year.
We apologize for the confusion with our Chipotle dining for dollars fundraiser last weekend. Only a few minutes before D4$ was to begin, our board found out that the location was closed. We did our best to inform you all through Facebook and with a note on the door, but we know many were frustrated by the situation. We are in communication with Chipotle. They have generously offered to give us a flat donation in lieu of the percentage of sales we would have made and we are working to set up another date with them in the near future. The good news is that we do have another D4$ event we are finalizing for mid-December. We will communicate details soon.
December is traditionally a slow month for us because of our Winter Break. Our board is working on some fun events to take place in the new year, so keep an eye out for more information to come. We won’t have a PTC meeting in December, but we are always available for thoughts and suggestions. Just email us at president@hiteonptc.org.
Warmest Wishes,
Kim Rivers and Kristin Glover
Co-Presidents, Hiteon PTC
