Valve: The Newest Revolutionary in the Gaming Industry
Valve was first formed as a limited liability company on August 24, 1996. It later became incorporated in April 2003. The company started as game developers, making many critically acclaimed games. Then, after this they revolutionized the game industry by opening an online service to purchase and download games. This later led to many other purchasing platforms, such as the Eshop and XBLA, and in addition to this made Gabe Newell, one of the original founders to become a billionaire.
Half-Life 2 was one of the most successful sequels in history, scoring a 9.6 out of 10 on Metacritic.com. Valve made one the successful online shooters ever, scoring 9.2 on Metacritic.com. Valve created one of the most successful FTP models ever, Team Fortress 2 has sold over 900,000 keys alone, and when they cost $2.50, that is very successful. One of the most notorious jokes on the internet revolves around Half-Life 3, a game that is unlikely to be released because it would be almost impossible to live up to the hype.
I would definitely invest in this company. I would because it is very successful in the gaming industry, and has brought many innovations as well. If I would invest in this amazing company, I would not only be supporting one of the greatest gaming company's of all time, but I would also be supporting innovation. The only thing that is really unfortunate is that you can buy stocks in valve.
