Star Parents,
Next week, is going to be so much fun! Your child may wear pajamas on their library day. Children may also wear pajamas and comfy slippers on Wednesday for Polar Express Day. We will be sharing the story and having hot chocolate. Please note that there will be no homework next week!
Important Information
Winter Party:
- Our Winter Party will be next Friday, December 21st from 9:00-10:00.We will be making gingerbread houses. Please have your child bring a can of WHITE icing (not whipped) and a sturdy piece of cardboard (10X12) covered in foil by tomorrow.
- We will be setting up for the party on Thursday, December 20th. Please meet in the Kindergarten area at 3:00 if you are interested in helping.
- We would love for you to come and make a gingerbread house with your child. If you are interested in volunteering at the party, please let your child's teacher know and be sure to complete a PISD background check.
Sight Words:
- We are so proud of our children for learning their sight words. Today you will find a list of sight words in your child's take home folder. Please have your child practice reading their sight words over Winter Break. Have fun practicing sight words with play doh, shaving cream, sidewalk chalk, or even pasta. Practicing sight words will help build your child's reading fluency.
Science and Engineering Fair:
- The Elementary Science and Engineering Fair will be on January 23, 2019. If your child is interested in participating, please complete the attached form. After returning the form, you will receive a Student Handbook with additional information about the upcoming fair.
