Sandpiper Super Estrellas

Principal Alcázar's Message
Sandpiper Families,
On behalf of the staff and myself, I would like to thank our dedicated, committed, and tenacious PTO presidents Erica Moriarty, the PTO Board, and all the volunteers. They worked so very hard to continue organizing so many wonderful Sandpiper traditions: Glow Party, Dia de Los Muertos/Fall Hoedown, Spring Carnival, Teacher Appreciation Week, Yearbook Signing Party, restaurant nights, and many, many more events.
Next school year Sandpiper will have a newly remodeled library, again thanks to so many dedicated parents, PTO members, and staff. Parents helped raise funds under the direction of our PTO board, and combined with the school's Tax Credit funds, this goal was met in one year! Our Sandpiper Community helped with the design, decided on the essential elements of the library, and finally packed all the books ready for the new furniture to arrive. My wish is that every student, staff member, and parents enjoy this library for many years to come. (please see images below)
At Sandpiper, we are fortunate to have a dedicated, caring, and hardworking team of professionals (teachers, educational assistants, office staff, custodians, and other school-based support staff). Thanks to the hard work of Sandpiper staff, we ensure every child has the best educational experience possible. Thanks to everyone's hard work, we have provided rich and engaging experiences for our students. This year we had Noche de Musica and Noche de Artes y Cultura. Students, staff, and parents took field trips to many nearby places. We celebrated students that won Art contests, and one of those contests brought a Phoenix K-9 police unit to our campus. We celebrated our school's A rating and took a school-wide picture. This year has been so very eventful and fun!
Staff Goodbyes: We will see some staff changes next year and send our best wishes to the following team leaving. We wish them well in their future endeavors:
Instructional Coach - Jessica Cocca (Ms. Coco for some)
First Grade - Sra. Giardina
Fifth Grade - Sra. Flemming
