Before & After School Activities
Sprague School is offering a variety of Before School Activities Classes and After School Activities Classes. Classes are highlighted below in the newsletter.
- Registration opens at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, on the RevTrak Web Store.
- Classes are $25 total per class. Some classes may have a materials fee.
- Classes are six weeks and begin the week of January 8.
Before School Activities: Grade 2
Sprague is offering two Before School Activities Classes led by Library-Media Specialist Lauren Lenzini.
Class meets at 7:40 a.m.
There is no bus transportation to school for before school activities.
Tuesday Coding Kickstart
Second-graders are invited to kick off their day at Coding Kickstart! We will utilize various coding tools to create our own programs. This may include Tynker, Scratch, Dash & Dot, and more. Students will exercise creativity, solve problems, and enhance their coding skills! The majority of sessions will include different lessons than previous sessions.
Wednesday STEM Studio
Second-graders are invited to exercise their critical thinking and persistence as they find creative solutions to STEM challenges! Each week, we will work on STEM challenge projects independently, in partners, or in groups as we start our day with curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.
After School Activities
Please sign up for just one after school activity through Thursday, December 7.
On Friday, December 8, you may sign up for any remaining classes that have not reached their student capacity.
- Classes have both a minimum and maximum participation number. If the minimum number is not met we will notify you and refund your payment. If the class reaches its maximum participation level your child will be placed on a waitlist and we will notify you closer to the start date as to whether they are in the class.
Class is held from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m.
Prompt parent pick up in front of the school is required at 3:30 p.m. or 103 Club students registered for that day can return to The 103 Club after class.
There is no bus transportation.
Tuesday
Makerspace: Grades K-1
Are you ready to get creative? Well then this is the perfect place for you! Every week students will be provided with a variety of materials and building toys to design their own project. At the end of the class students can share their unique ideas with the class and inspire others!
Wednesday
Lego Club: Grades 1-2
Join us for Lego club, where students will be able to let their creativity run wild. As students build and create, a theme will be suggested during every session. Once built, students will vote on a winner who will be able to take home a prize!
Perler Bead Designs/Bracelet Making: Grades 1-2
The possibilities and imaginative creativity are endless with Perler beads and bracelet making.Students will experience creativity in making varieties of bracelets and Perler designs over the course of 6 weeks and get to take home what they make.
Arts & Crafts: Grades K-1
It’s time to welcome winter with beautiful winter themed arts and craft projects. Each week we will celebrate winter through creative arts and fun stories.
All About Korea: Grades K-2
All About Korea is for any students interested in learning about Korean culture. All About Korea will provide students with a fun and engaging way to explore Korean culture through picture books, music, Korean traditional games, and crafts. Students will learn about special holidays, how to play jegichagi (Korean hacky-sack) and ddakji and how to sing “Happy Birthday” and “Arirang” in Korean. Students will also make traditional Korean masks and fans and engage in fun story extension activities.
Thursday

Let's Have a Tea Party with Mrs. Abrego: Grade K
Students will engage in literacy and math activities as well as learn etiquette, manners, and proper table set up. Art and tea themed read alouds will also be a part of our sessions. On the last day, we will have a real tea party!
All About Korea: Grades K-2
All About Korea is for any students interested in learning about Korean culture.
