June Reflection
It is hard to believe that June is upon us already. I am sure I am not alone in feeling like the year went by in a blink of an eye. A special thank you to the PTO, USREF, and Youth Guidance Council. We are so grateful for everything that they have done to enhance our curriculum and programs throughout the year. Also, thank you to the many volunteers who have donated their time this year in a variety of ways. We hope that you found your experiences in Reynolds to be rewarding.
To all of our Reynolds Families, we wish you a relaxing, safe, and enjoyable summer. We look forward to hearing about all of your adventures when we return in the fall.

Summer Reading
"Summer Slide" is the tendency for students to lose some of the achievement gains they have made over the school year. This can especially be true for more reluctant readers. In order to prevent or limit summer slide, children should spend time reading throughout the summer. Choosing a variety of just right books is a great start. We will provide a reading list in your summer packet to help. Encourage children to read something every day and spend time reading aloud. Reading aloud builds comprehension skills and expands experience with texts.
It is also a great idea to take advantage of enriching experiences such as summer camps, time with family, and trips to museums, parks, and libraries.
