Important Morning Arrival Information

We would like to remind everyone of the school start time of 7:40; this is when our tardy bell rings and students should be in their classrooms. If your student is a car rider in the morning, please arrive in time for him/her to be in the building before this time. Due to the large number of car riders, it is difficult for students to have breakfast at school and then make it to class by 7:40. If you would like your student to have breakfast at school, I would encourage you to have him/her ride the bus. If your student has not previously been a bus rider and you need assistance with bus stop and/or arrival time information or if you need assistance with making changes in Dismissal Manager, please call the office at 317-594-4130.

Lately, we have had up to 27 cars arriving after our start time. When students arrive to class late, they miss some of the morning routine and/or the first part of a lesson. A late start to the day may cause a student to feel rushed and behind. Our car-rider team of adults has teaching responsibilities starting at 7:40. As per the information in last week's newsletter, staring on Monday, March 21, the team has been walking into the building at 7:40. If car riders arrive after this time they will need to be walked in by a parent/adult family member. Thank you for helping us start the school day on time and in a safe manner.
