Movement

Did you know Almost any bit of open space is big enough for the red-tailed hawk to hunt. This large bird is often seen over fields, farms, and even lawns. Redtails like open spaces because they can use their broad wings and tail to soar. When they are riding winds and warm, rising air currents, they can glide for a long time without flapping their wings at all. (Highlights for Children )
