Ron's Big Mission
Students in grades 1 and 2 read Ron's Big Mission by Rose Blue and Corinne J. Naden; Illustrated by Don Tate and learned about Ron McNair, a young boy with a dream and a big mission - getting his own library card.
We're Going on a Book Hunt
Students in Kindergarten are going on book hunts with shelf markers; showing good library manners; taking care of books, and turning pages carefully; and checking out "just right" books.
Lola at the Library
Students in Kindergarten are also learning about things that are the same and different about the public library and school library with Lola at the Library by Anna McQuinn; Illustrated by Rosalind Beardshaw.

This Earth Day, April 22, 2015 and during the month of April, Kindergarten is reading The Earth Book by Todd Parr and talking about ways that we can show the planet Earth love.
