REMINDER:

On March 15th we will transition to our Model C. In this model, students will physically come to school 5 days a week, Mon-Friday, for half days. The time schedule will remain the same, with drop off from 8:30-8:45am and pick up from 12:15-12:30pm. In this model, all students from each class will be together all 5 days.

Students will also be expected to attend afternoon classes from 1:45-3:15pm.

For students returning to school from FULL REMOTE, your student will be placed in an already existing class. They WILL NOT have the same teacher they had for remote learning. Students entering FULL REMOTE from HYBRID will not have the same teacher they had for HYBRID learning.

Free school lunches will still be available for students to take home each day.

Student afternoon schedules for extra support (IEP, Title I, UA) will most likely change when we transition to model C.

Emotional Wellness Student Survey

Students in grades 2-4 will be asked to complete a social-emotional wellness survey in the next few weeks. The survey was initiated and is being developed by the Dudley Elementary School Council.

We all know what a terrible toll the pandemic has taken on many of our students and families. The purpose of this survey is to collect baseline data on the mental wellbeing of our student body. We are hoping that through this process, students who might be shy or quiet in the classroom can have their voices heard and be connected with additional emotional wellness supports if necessary.

The Council has been working on collecting age/grade appropriate questions for students. If you have any questions or concerns about your student participating in this survey, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Calling all STEAM Inventors!

Tuesday, March 9th, 6:30-7:45pm

This is an online event.

Do you like working with your hands?

Are you curious about how things work?

We will be hosting a 3 part STEAM series online for families March 9th, 11th, and 16th @6:30pm each night.

The theme of this event is RECYCLED ROLLER COASTERS!

Over a three-part series, families will create a roller coaster out of recycled boxes, tubes, and other household materials. Students will learn basic principles of physics through a hands-on roller coaster project, testing their problem solving and creative skills.

Stay tuned for more information about this event and an RSVP to help us plan! Can't wait to see what the different families are able to do using recyclable materials at home! :)

Coming Soon: Family of Spies and Paper Maker Space
