Winter Break!

Dear DES Parents,

As we move into our Winter Break, I would like to thank all of you for your continued support for our Dolphins! As a community, we still continue to face the challenges of Covid and most of you have been understanding and supportive as we follow the guidelines given to us by the Maryland Department of Health. I understand the impact quarantining students has on you personally as well as on your child. The frustration is real on all of us.

At DES, we continue to offer virtual tutoring two afternoons a week while your child is home; teachers are also continuing to send work home. If your child completes work for his/her teacher, be sure to submit it in a timely manner so that it can be graded. Thank you again for your patience and understanding with the DES staff.

Covid screening testing will not be available to the week of 12/20/21 through 20/20 GeneSystems. If you are signed up for this screening, please make a note.

I wish you all a wonderful holiday season filled with fun, family, and fellowship. Thank you for your continued support for Denton Elementary School. Happy New Year!

Susan R. McCandless

Proud Principal of Denton Elementary School
