School Improvement Goals
Hudson Elementary 2019-2020
Increase student performance as measured by proficiency ratings on state assessments.
All students will receive academic and behavioral support through the use of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) throughout the school.
Every student will receive appropriate instruction through the development of daily lesson plans aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
Decrease the number of students who are chronically absent, tardy/early dismissed or have other challenges that impede their attendance and learning.
All students will receive increased social/emotional support by providing Social Emotional Training and Student Services Team Support during ER day professional development, faculty meetings and monthly grade level PLC meetings.
Save the Date - Fall Book Fair and Family STEAM Night
Family STEAM Night will be Thursday, November 7th from 4:30 - 6:30pm! Save the date and bring the whole family! After creating and learning, go visit the Book Fair in the Media Center!
RSVPs will be coming home soon!
Attendance, Tardies, Early Checkouts
All absences should have a note. If you have a doctor's note, please make sure to turn it in to the school office. Parent notes will be accepted for up to 10%, unless you have been notified that only doctor's notes will be accepted due to historical attendance records. (10% - for example, if we are on day 30, you should not have more than 3 total)
All tardies/early checkouts will be recorded daily as excused/unexcused. If you have a doctor's note, please make sure to bring it with you!
Parent contact will be made after an excessive amount of tardies/early checkouts as this is instructional time missed. (10% - for example, if we are on day 30, you should not have more than 3 total)
No student dismissal after 2:10pm.
Tardies and Early Checkouts can prevent your child from earning Perfect Attendance.
