Keeping Up With Comm Arts
October 4 - October 8
Dear Comm Arts Students and Families,
Yearbook Week
National Yearbook Week honors school yearbook programs for chronicling their school’s history and the students who work to compile these memories into a lasting printed record.
While Yearbook Week seeks to recognize the role a school yearbook plays in documenting educational achievement and school tradition, it’s not just a holiday for yearbook staff.
If the yearbook is for everyone, so is yearbook week! National Yearbook Week begins October 4th!

Yearbook
If you ordered last year’s and have not picked it up, we will be delivering those to students next few weeks or you can contact Mr. Kohlmann at Taft to arrange pick up sooner. If you did NOT order last year’s, but would like to purchase one, we still have some available for purchase for $80 or you can purchase a package deal of last year's and this year's yearbook at $120. That's a $30 savings. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. McCarthy in room C205 before or after school.
Yearbook Pictures (9th-12th Grades)
Students and parents, please be aware that in order for students' pictures to appear in the yearbook, students must be in dress code. This includes no facial piercings or unnaturally colored hair. If you took your picture with either of these or any other violations, please plan to retake them or you will NOT be in the yearbook. We will not be editing the photos.
Additionally, please note that students will be identified by their legal name.
And finally, only photos taken by Prestige for seniors or Lifetouch for underclassmen can appear in the yearbook.
We appreciate your cooperation. If you have any questions, please contact our yearbook adviser Mrs. Carey McCarthy carey.mccarthy@nisd.net.
Yearbook Recognition and Business Ads
Dear Parent or Student, Yearbook recognition ads are a great way for parents, families and friends to commemorate student achievements and important milestones. In addition, revenues from recognition ads help our school to create a better yearbook. To purchase your ad online, follow the instructions on the form below. Jostens is managing your school's yearbook ad sales so please do not contact or send materials to the school. Please take into account our school's ad content guidelines on the bottom of this form during the creation of your ad online. All ad orders must be placed online by 02/10/2022. See the attached flyer for more information.
Are you a member of a booster club, a student club/organization or a team? Would you like to have more coverage in the yearbook? Then purchase a recognition ad. This gives your group the control over the content y'all want to share. See the attached flyer for more information.
Do you own a business or work for one that appeals to teens or our community?
Showcase your business in the book that never loses its appeal. Students and their families will flip through the pages of the yearbook hundreds of times and cherish it for a lifetime. In addition, proceeds from ad sales are a fundraiser for the yearbook program at our school. We appreciate your support! See the attached flyer for more information.
