Literacy Night
"There are many little ways to enlarge your world. Love of books is the best of all.” – Jacqueline Kennedy
Last night was our first literacy night of the year. It was a really great evening as children’s literature was presented to and by our students in ways that excited the imagination, stimulated our brains and peeked our curiosity. A truly fun evening. When was the last time you read a good book?

President of Guam Micronesian Mission visits with KAES students
We were blessed to have Pastor Ken Norton and his wife Julie visit with our students yesterday morning. They both shared all about life at our sister school on the island of Pohnpei. Southwestern Union Conference decided last year to support the Adventist mission in Pohnpei and recently provided the Pohnpei Adventist School with solar panels to help provide electricity. We hope that we can grow our relationship over this school year.
More Than Two Thirds Of KAES Students Receive Attendance and Academic Awards In First Quarter
On Monday students were presented with awards for attendance and honor roll. It was exciting to see the whole school cheering for each other as students accepted their awards. It was the result of hours of hard work that paid off. Please encourage your child to focus on their learning as we move forward in the 2nd quarter.
3rd Grade Focuses On Multiplication Facts
The 3rd grade class has been working hard to memorize their multiplication facts through 12x12. They complete worksheets geared towards learning each fact and take timed tests at their own pace. Upon completion of certain facts along the way, they receive a Sonic reward! This has been great motivation. This group of 7 received their rewards for their 5's, 3's, 6's, or 12's. We are focusing right now on everyone's potential to learn! Of our 26 students, 22 have reached a reward already! We have two students already working on division. When they reach their final division test, they move on to 4th grade multi-digit multiplication! Go Third Grade!
