What's Going On In Raider Nation Vol. 1 Issue 33
Down To The Wire Mindset
Champions are define by how they perform, "down to the wire."
We have all seen the 4 fingers go up to signal the 4th quarter. Leaders take the last shot or make the big plays to win the game.
The team always look to the leader, when it's time for a victory!
Our students are looking to us during these final days to guide them to finish strong. It's a mindset.
While others are counting down to the end of the year, champion teachers are gearing up to prepare our students to do their very best on high stakes testing and final exams.
At the end of the day, these are the numbers we will be judge on and our data will determined how we move next year.
Let's have the "Down to the Wire" mindset and come up big in the clutch for our kids.
Please share what we are focusing on with your students and parents.
1. Practicing Explicit Direct Instruction (E.D.I) strategies for student engagement.
2. Taking a closer look at individual students and employing interventions with the help of parents.
3. Reducing student tardies and holding students accountable for being to class on time.
4. Wearing ID's (Our ID machine had ID issues at the start of the school year, but we will have more focus on ID's this week)
5. Interpreting student data and making decisions for student improvement.
Reflecting and Refocusing is key to being the best professional educators for the success of our young Raiders!
We are W.J. Keenan High School, Home of
the Champion Raiders!
