Final Exhibition Reflection

By: Regina

How have you improved on your skills?

I think that I have improved on my research skills. I think this because before, I couldn't get a lot of information on a topic, but in Exhibition, I worked really hard and learned a lot about natural disasters. I also think that I did well with my communication skills because I am usually bad with communication skills, but during Exhibition, they were really good! I communicated with my group and mentor, Ms. Vasconcelos a lot, and we got to decide on many things. I also used my communication skills very well during the presentations.

What advice would you give to the students doing the exhibition next year?

Exhibition was really fun, so these are some tips for next year:

  1. Choose a topic that you like!
  2. Find a lot of research
  3. Work hard
  4. Make interactive visuals
  5. HAVE FUN!!!

What was the biggest challenge that you faced during the process of the exhibition? and how did you solve it?

The biggest challenge that I faced is getting things done quickly. I felt like I had no time to do my visuals. I solved that problem by working really, really hard and fast to get my visuals done. Also, I had some trouble finishing my creative writing piece over spring break. I didn't have much time the first week. I solved that problem by working quickly the second week of spring break and getting it done.

What would you do differently if you had to do the exhibition again?

What I would do differently is maybe find more research. I had a lot of information, but some people asked me things that I didn't know the answer to. Maybe next time I can find more specific research about more natural disasters. Otherwise, I don't think I would do anything differently.
