Wednesday Meeting - PLN

We are working with the district on the timing of the PLN presentations, currently scheduled for January. We will update the Wednesday meeting focus on Monday with some additional material.

Girls Soccer Advances to NCS Semis, Boys Nipped by Rancho

The girls soccer team advanced to the NCS semis with a fabulous come from behind 2-1 victory at Analy. Second half goals by Hannah Devoe and Amy Ferrick brought the Trojans back. The girls travel to an excellent Montgomery team Wednesday night at 7PM.

The boys played beautifully and were headed for overtime when Rancho scored in literally the final second. This talented group deserved more but finish with heads high and proud of the effort.

Varsity Football Off to Alhambra

After a spirited battle with Analy (a 34-23 loss on Senior Night), the Trojans (7-3) are on the road to start the playoffs at Alhambra High. Alhambra, from the tough DFAL, also sports a 7-3 mark. The much improved Trojans will have their hands full, but bring a lot of confidence to the match up. Friday, November 17th at 7PM.

CTE Fund Visit with Two Rock Elementary

Board members from the CTE Fund visited PHS last week to see the engineering program in action. Support from the fund has allowed us to deepen our engineering offerings and create a meaningful pathway to pre-engineering programs. Joining the board members were Mike Simpson, principal and superintendent of Two Rock Elementary and 21 of his students. They worked side by side with the Intro to Engineering Design students in the Auto Cad lab. These hopeful soon-to-be Trojans learned how to manipulate the CAD interface. Mr. Jones, Ms. Eaton and Ms. Boyes encouraged them to think about this high school option. As one Two Rocker said beautifully, "You guys learn by playing here." Yes!
