Allen R Leichter Memorial Scholarship

Allen R Leichter Memorial Scholarship

By: Allen’s Family

This scholarship is in memory of our beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend, Allen Leichter. We are offering two scholarships of $500 each to two senior photography students at Pennsbury High School.

Allen passed away almost five years ago and is survived by his wife, Shari, his two sons Aaron, Brandon, his mother Shirley, his brothers Warren, Mark and his sister Liz.

Born in Philadelphia, Allen resided in Bucks County for most of his life. He was the owner and operator of Allen’s camera in Levittown, a company founded in 1977 when he was 23 years old. Throughout his 38 years running Allen’s camera, he was known for his honesty and always putting the customer first. His customers became his lifelong friends and Allen didn’t even know how many lives he touched. After he passed away, customers wrote in from all over the world, United Kingdom, Africa and Australia telling their stories about Allen.

Allen will forever be in all our hearts, which is why we continue to do this Scholarship in his name. Allen left behind a legacy in the person that he was, along with his business in the camera world. Allen’s Camera continues to carry on Allen’s Legacy and has been open for 44 years now with the help of his son Brandon Leichter and the staff at Allen’s Camera.
