Laptop Requests
It is each school site's responsibility, including Chandler Online Academy, to provide students with a laptop to use. Please contact your school FIRST to receive a laptop from them. All COA students are eligible to borrow 1:1 ratio of laptops, and all other students are allotted 2 laptops maximum per household. Indigenous Ed. does not have laptops to offer to all families who have requested them for the 20-21 school year. If you have not received a response from your child's school and would like us to serve as your advocate in receiving a laptop, contact your Indigenous Student Advisor or Tia.

Living in 2 Worlds Workshop Series
The Phoenix Indian Center and the Urban Indian Coalition of Arizona are offering a Living in 2 Worlds (L2W) workshop series! (Specific dates TBD, check our Instagram for updates) This opportunity is designed for Indigenous middle school students in Maricopa County.
The L2W workshop is a prevention skills program implemented in junior high schools that meets current K-12 standards. This program is led by a facilitator who uses an evidence-based, strength-based model, using American Indian values and cultural knowledge, to discuss alcohol and other drug use.
The L2W workshops are scheduled on 2 different days to meet the needs of the participants. Since students are transitioning into online learning, there's the option to attend on the weekly Tuesday or Thursday workshops. Both workshops will be offered from 5:00 to 6:00 PM on Zoom. Participants can register on the Phoenix Indian Center website.
