Meet Mrs. Hawkins

Mrs. Hawkins is thrilled to be returning to the Flint Lake Elementary family. She comes to us from Cooks Corners Elementary, where she served as principal for the past 3 1/2 years. Prior to her principalship, she has worked as a special education teacher, a 2nd, 4th and 5th grade teacher, a Title I instructor and an assistant principal. Mrs. Hawkins is honored to work alongside such a dedicated group of educators, parents and students and is looking forward to a wonderful school year.

WELCOME, Mrs. Dado!

We'd like to welcome our newest staff member, Mrs. Dado to Flint Lake. Mrs. Dado comes to us from Central Elementary where she has experience teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, and Title I. She will serve as our Dean of Students as well as the district's Title I Director. We are excited to have her join our team!

THANK YOU!!!

We would like to give a BIG, heartfelt thank you to our friends at Strack and Van Til. Earlier this month, they presented Flint Lake with a $500 check. We are very grateful and appreciate of their support!

Magazine Subscription Fundraiser

This week, your child will be brining home a Reach Out Address Booklet along with an informational letter explaining the program. This booklet is our Magazine Subscription Fundraiser. By filling out this booklet, you'll have the opportunity to purchase magazines at a significantly discounted rate, all while raising money for Flint Lake! All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to teacher classrooms and will benefit each and every student here at school. We thank you in advance for your continued support!

Be sure to send back your completed booklets by Monday, October 5th so that your child can receive his/her prize!

  • Please ensure children exit the vehicle on the sidewalk side.

Pick Up:

  • Remain in your vehicle at all times.

Box Tops

Don't toss 'em... clip 'em!! Each Box Top you collect raises $0.10 for Flint Lake.

Here's how it works:

1. Find Box Tops on hundreds of items.

2. Clip the Box Tops from each package.

3. Send the Box Tops to school.

4. Earn $0.10 for each Box Top collected!

This month, PTO is sending home a Box Top collection sheet for Halloween. Please cut out and glue each Box Top to the designated spot and return to school with your child. If you collect more than 10 Box Tops, you may fill out an additional sheet.

*Please ensure that your Box Tops are not expired!
