We have chicks in the classroom! How exciting the see the chick life cycle from an egg to these fluffy, adorable chicks. Ten chicks have hatched. Did you know our chicks speak French too?!?

We are practicing reading with partners. We want to read fluently. Each student has a browse bag with books just right for them. They enjoy reading with their friends.

In French, we are decomposing teen numbers. For example, 17= 10 +7 and constructing them as 10 + 2= 12. Please practice these at home in French.

Words To Know practice

Here are some great suggestions to practice:

1. Words to Know Hopscotch: Write the words in each square and hop away.

2. Read and Toss: Write the words in sidewalk chalk and toss a pinecone on the words to read

3. Paint the Words: Get a paintbrush and cup of water. Paint the words on the sidewalk in water and they disappear.

4. Bingo: Make your own cards and play with your family

5. Use Scrabble Cheezits to make words. Build and eat! Yummy!

Have fun and enjoy!
