Chisago Lakes Chamber

Serving the Chisago Lakes Community

November 2020 Newsletter

Note From the Chamber Board

As I write this message, I’m thinking about all of local business challenged with how they can succeed during these unprecedent times and current events. I found myself inspired by this quote, “No external advantages can supply self-reliance. The force of one’s being…must come from within” (R.W.Clark).

We are all dealing with the challenges of keeping employees, customers and our community as safe as possible. The chamber has seen some wonderful creativity in our local businesses and organizations to keep their businesses going and events not cancelled. We are all growing tired of COVID-19, but that will not stop us from seeking out creative ways to continue to serve our community. Like many other organizations, the chamber cancelled some of our most important events these past few months, but with thoughtful intent, were able to host some events with great success.

Celebration of the Lakes planning is currently under way, even though we are all unsure of what our situation will be when February, 2021 rolls around. This event takes months of preplanning, so we are moving ahead with as many outdoor events as possible, where safety of our guests and participants is an easier challenge to address. Our committee will continue to work on options to keep this wonderful event in our community, but also address the challenge of COVID-19. Watch for updates in future newsletters and emails as this event develops.
