Toms River High School East

8th Grade Parent Night - February 18, 2021 (6 pm - 7 pm)

Dear Families,

Welcome to the Home of the Raiders! Our objective this evening is to provide you with important information regarding scheduling and graduation requirements along with an introduction to our Freshman Year! This meeting is one of three which we will provide to support the transition between junior high and high school. Our next meeting will be held in the spring and the other will be held in August (each with separate objectives).

Expectations of a Raider

We have high expectations of our students at East. We expect students to come to school every day, be on time, and come ready to learn. Being ready to learn implies you respect yourself, your peers, teachers, school policies, and come with the intention to do your best!

We are a school of Character, which means we believe in accomplishing our academic and personal goals with integrity, respect, and empathy.

The key to your success is mindset. You must appreciate the importance of your education to future personal success. Students who own a positive mindset and are willing to learn are more likely to achieve academic and/or personal goals. We take tremendous pride in offering rich and rewarding curricular and extracurricular activities to meet your individual interests and to make positive connections to the school. Be confident and seek opportunities to challenge yourself. We will be there to support you along the way because we care about you and we love what we do!
