Family Check-In's
Thank you to all the families who have responded to the weekly Family Check-ins. We love seeing how you are doing. This week we asked about your family activities and thought you would enjoy seeing highlights of what our Bulldog families have been up to.
There has been lots of outdoor time, biking, and visits to nearby parks and beaches. You are gardening (or trying to) and learning important life skills like ironing, yard work, and building, including a beehive! You’ve also been cooking together, enjoying movie nights and playing board games. As if that wasn’t enough, there have been lots of arts and crafts created, science experiments completed and butterfly life cycles observed. Your pets, either the ones you’ve had for a while or the newly adopted, are getting lots of extra attention. And since we are Grange Hall, some of the new adoptions include quails and chickens! When you aren’t busy with all of those activities you are lifting others by making cards for them and you are staying connected with family and friends through Zoom meetings. Pillow forts have been built and marshmallows have been roasted and yes, there’s been more screen time than parents might like, but it’s clear from your answers that you are making the best of this situation and creating special family memories. The memories and connections are priceless and will last a lifetime.
Thank you for sharing a little insight into your families’ lives during the last few weeks. We hope to hear about more of your adventures in the next few weeks!

Chromebook Support
Chesterfield County Public Schools has developed a plan to provide support for school division-issued Chromebooks during this extended school closure:
Every Tuesday at Thomas Dale and Matoaca High Schools from 9 a.m. until noon
Every Thursday at CTC@Hull and Robious Middle from 1 - 4 p.m.
A parent and/or student will need to provide their student ID number in order to adjust the school division’s inventory records. Support is limited to students in grades 5-12, who already are participating in the Chromebook take-home program. Appropriate social distancing protocol will be followed to protect students and staff. For clarification purposes: While the CCPS Internet network is available to families while in the parking lot, the school division is not giving out free hotspot devices at these repair stations.
CCPS serves meals during COVID-19
To meet the needs of students during COVID-19 school closures, Chesterfield County Public Schools continues provide meals for students for pick-up without charge and regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability and without discrimination. Meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the sites and times listed below. Please note these important pieces of information related to the distribution of meals:
Children do not have to be present to pick up meals. To pick up meals without a student present, please tell the staff member your student’s first and last names and age.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, two lunches and two breakfasts will be provided for each child.
On Fridays, three lunches and three breakfasts will be provided for each child.
No meal service is available on Tuesdays or Thursdays.
