St Mary's School Covid Care
Supporting and caring for our school community
Kia ora whānau,
This week families in our school community have been affected by Covid-19. Many of our students, parents or whānau are either sick, or self-isolating at home as household contacts. The number of children, classrooms, parents and caregivers with Covid-19 continues to grow every day.
We are here to help you if you need us!
Home Learning
Let us know if you need a device to support Home Learning and we can deliver the device to you, contactless.
If you need a device please contact jmurrary@stmarystga.school.nz, covidcare@stmarystga.school.nz or your child's classroom teacher.
How else can we help?
We have a great support network in place to help pick up your click and collect shopping and deliver it to you, or we can shop for you. We also have a number of meals and home baking in our school freezer that we can deliver.
How can our school community help?
Following the last two lockdowns some families in our community generously came forward to support families in need. Again this year we have been asked by families how we can help, and so below are a few ideas.
If you are in a position to help us out with the following items then please drop them in to the school office;
- Home cooked meals - please place in non returnable containers that we can freeze.
- Home baking. Cakes, muffins or biscuits - please place in non returnable containers or bags that we can freeze.
- $20 Pak n Save, New World or Countdown vouchers
There is absolutely no pressure for any family to make a contribution and the love, thoughts and prayers sent for those in our community have been very heartening and lovely to receive.
Wishing all our children and families a speedy and safe recovery.
We are here to help so please get in touch!
