Lunch Visitors
- Lunch visitors will be allowed on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- ONE parent or guardian per student will be allowed.
If a parent or guardian wants someone else to come visit for lunch, the parent must send a note to school each time with the child stating who is allowed. The receptionist is not able to track down notes. Please ask your child to give the note to their teacher so the note can get to the front office before the child's lunch. If the receptionist / front desk does not have the note, the visitor will not be allowed entry.
Lunch Rules:
Maximum one guest (parent or guardian) per student.
Students may not invite a buddy to eat lunch.
Parents may bring lunch for the student. However, parents may not drop off fast food if they’re not eating with the child.
Parents may not talk on their cell phones during lunch. They may however take a selfie with their child (no other students).
Parents must remain in the foyer until it is time for their child’s lunch.
Children must return to their seats with their class five minutes before lunch ends.
Free Breakfast and Lunch
This year all CFISD students are receiving free breakfast and lunch. You can already apply to receive free or reduced lunch for the 2022-23 school year! If qualified, the application may offer more benefits. The link to the application is here.

5th Grade Math Field Test Thursday, February 17, 2022
All 5th grade students will participate in a STAAR Math Field Test on Thursday, February 17, 2022. Because it is a Field Test, we will not get scores from this test because it is only intended to help TEA design future tests. It is a test conducted online using your child’s CFISD issued computer. Please have your child bring their device and charger to school Wednesday, February 16 to charge overnight.
Are you interested in volunteering at the school? WatchDOGS is a great opportunity to help students and staff on campus. You are welcome to come up and volunteer one day a month. Volunteers will need to be trained by the counselors before coming. If you have not been trained yet, you can email: katheryn.netz@cfisd.net
