Principal's Message
Good morning Barbieri Families,
Happy Mother's Day to all of our community members (mothers, sisters, aunts, godmothers, friends, grandmothers, etc.) who serve as mother figures! On this day I celebrate my mother Annie but also our family friend and my second mother, Debbie! I met Debbie when I was 14 years old and she still remains in my life today! I am lucky to have two important inspiring women in my life! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful weekend and celebrated the important mother figures in your life!
I spent the day with my family in Boston celebrating the day with great family friends watching the Celtics WIN! :-)
Please read the bulletin thoroughly for important end of the year events and dates.
Que tengan una linda semana,
Maria
MCAS Year 2023
MCAS Message for Grade 5 Families ONLY😀
The last two sessions of MCAS are this week for GRADE 5!!! During MCAS testing season please ensure that your child has a good night's sleep and full breakfast! Please remember that breakfast is available at school for all students! ALL STUDENTS SHOULD ARRIVE TO SCHOOL ON TIME!
STE- Science Technology and Engineering
During testing ALL ELECTRONIC DEVICES ARE PROHIBTED. This includes cell phones and apple watches, etc. Please be sure that you discuss with your child that if they chose to still bring these devices to school they will need to give these devices to their classroom teacher/testing proctor BEFORE testing begins and they will receive them AFTER the testing session has ended. This is a non-negotiable. If any device is set off (rings, vibrates, etc.) during testing we risk having to invalidate tests.
Thank you for all of your support at home and for understanding!

Message from Wraparound Coordinator, Rebecca S.
Hello Barbieri Families,
Happy May! I hope everyone is enjoying warmer and longer days. I wanted to send out an informational bulletin to support you and your families with finding summer programming. While summer programming at FPS has been filled, there are, fortunately, a few other options in the Framingham area. The area's economical options include the YMCA, Suburban Child, and The Boys and Girls Club. Each of these programs also has scholarships your family may apply for.
If you have any questions regarding summer programming, please fill out a referral form, and I will contact you as soon as possible. I will attach websites for summer programming and my referral form below.

Hola familias Barbieri,
¡Feliz Mayo! Las opciones económicas del área incluyen YMCA, Suburban Child y The Boys and Girls Club.

FHS Seniors that are former Barbieri students will come back to Barbieri to connect with fifth graders as they prepare for middle school. They will share their experiences from their time attending Barbieri, Middle School, and Framingham High. Fifth graders will ask about their plans for the future and how being bilingual has shaped their academic career. This opportunity for reflection and exchange of ideas comes at a time when current fifth grade students are completing their self-portrait tiles. Seniors will share how the process of making the tiles was for them and how it felt reuniting with their artwork after 7 years. Barbieri students always come back home!
