Lowell Lost & Found
Visit Wheaton Nursery on Roosevelt Road from May 1-3! 10% of your purchases will benefit Lowell's beautification efforts.
Join us tomorrow at 9:00 am for the Lowell 5k Run/Walk!
All race goody bags and shirts were sent home this week. If you have not already registered, there will be walk up registration ($15 pp) tomorrow morning inside the Lowell gym starting at 8:00am. There are still a few shirts in select sizes available so get there early before we sell out.
Remember to come with your race shirt and sweatbands on! Be sure to also have race numbers pinned on and drop the corner labeled "raffle" into our big silver raffle bucket when you arrive. Our prize table is filled with great items!
New this year: Nestle will be there with free chocolate milk for participants, and Rockin' Jump (formally XTreme Trampolines) will be on site with a spinning wheel and the chance to win some fun prizes! The crew from Muscle Maker Grill (opening soon in Glen Ellyn) will be there to lead the race. We won't have a fancy pace car this year.....they are bringing something even better!
As always, we will have refreshments for all after the run! If you have any registration questions please contact Kelly at kdnoe2002@yahoo.com.
There are still many opportunities available to volunteer. We are in need of people to help out along the course and at the finish line. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Courtney at mchenderson0618@comcast.net.
Classroom Assignments
Thank you for respecting the many complex factors that go into setting all students up for a wonderful school year!
Cook's Night Out Save the Dates: May 27 @ Chipotle!
Mile Run at Wheaton College: Wednesday, May 6
The Wheaton College track is a community gem with which we hope our students will become more familiar and enjoy as long as they live nearby. Our mile run is a nice introduction to the track and a great fitness activity! We will run in any weather except for heavy rain/thunderstorms. The students should come prepared with whatever they think they will need, whether it's a water bottle or a sweatshirt.
- 9:40-10:20/ 5th grade
- 10:20-11:00/ 4th grade
- 11:00-11:40/ 3rd grade
- 1:20-2:00/ 2nd grade
- 2:00-2:30/ 1st grade
Parents may run with the students but we ask that you stay out of lane one since some of the students will be trying to make the record board and all will be running for a personal record. The rain date will be Wednesday, May 13th.
