Ramadan
The holy month
What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim calendar and know as the holy month of fasting. People who have hit puberty and are healthy have to fast during the holy month of Ramadan. People start their fast at the dusk of dawn and break their fast in the evening. Muslims usually break their fast with dates, salt or just water. After breaking their fast they have a delicious meal served with all kinds of foods with their family. The food served is mostly traditional food. The purpose of Ramadan is to remind you of the people who don't get the chance to eat every day. There are no differences in the way people observe Ramadan in different regions of the world. Ramadan is the same everywhere except for the dates and timings.
