M4 Lesson 2 Assignment 1-3
In this lesson you will look at how America mobilized for this first of World Wars and how it changed not only the course of war, but the course of history. Unlike modern wars, every one in the U.S. played a role in supporting the war effort. Women and minorities were suddenly more important in their roles. You will learn they were effected.
In Assignment 1 you will take a graded quiz. Be sure your study the notes to be successful on this quiz.
Assignment 2- For this assignment you will fill out a graphic organizer that compares two very important documents from this time period- Wilson's 14 Points and The Treaty of Versailles. I have linked resources below to give you an idea of the differences between these two documents. (note: You can disregard the last slide on the Prezi.)
In Assignment 3 you will write a letter expressing your viewpoint of a variety of topics relating to the war. Be sure you address them all, with particular attention to:
(1.) Food Administration.
(2.) War Industries Board.
(3.) Committee on Public Information.
(4.) Selective Service Act.
M4 Post Assessment and Honors Assignment
Today you will complete the post assessment for Module 4 and complete the Honors Assignment. Please be aware that the NCVPS Academic Integrity Policy must be maintained. You learned about this policy in the Getting Started Module and I have also linked it here.
For the honors assignment you will reflect on the main reasons the US entered WWI.
Good luck and as always, contact me with any questions.
