Principal's Corner
Thank You, Natoma Station Families
I want to thank all of our families for your incredible support and partnership! If you were on our campus during field day this week, you got a glimpse of the strong sense of community that we have built in support of doing what is best for our Cheetahs! We could not do what we do without your help and support. Thank you!
A Heartfelt Farewell
Sadly, a few of our staff members will not be returning to Natoma Station next year. Kristina Rios, our physical therapist, has accepted a position with Elk Grove Unified to be closer to her family. Kristina's expertise, love for her students, and warm smile will be greatly missed.
Laura Gutierrez, Kindergarten Teacher Extraordinaire, will be joining the staff at Sandra J. Gallardo as a full-time kindergarten teacher next year. Laura has been a beloved member of the Natoma Station staff for the past 23 years! Her positivity, warmth, dedication, and expertise will be greatly missed by our entire community! We wish Laura the very best!
Dona' Jess's mild/moderate inclusion preschool autism class will be moving to Blanche Sprentz Elementary next year. Dona' has provided a wealth of knowledge and support for our team, especially our special education team, for the past 4 years. She will be greatly missed but we know that she will continue to do great things at BSE and wish her all the best!
Finally, Cathy Dean, is retiring after educating students for 27 years at FCUSD - 23 of those years at Natoma Station! Cathy's dedication, exceptional instructional practices, love for her students and families, and her warmth and professionalism will be greatly missed by all. Cathy has left her heart print on our Natoma Station community and we are forever grateful to her! We wish her many great adventures as she begins this next chapter!
Field Day
Thank you to all the parents who volunteered for our field day activities! The students had so much fun! I want to give a special shout-out to Margaret Whitehurst for the time that she put into planning and preparation to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
Save the Date - Back to School Bash & Meet Your Teacher
Our Back to School Bash is scheduled on Wednesday, August 2 from 10:30 - 11:30 AM on our blacktop. This is your opportunity to meet your child's teacher! Our PTO will also provide information for how you can get involved to support our amazing school!
5th Grade Promotion
Congratulations, fifth graders, on your well-deserved promotion. May your future be filled with endless opportunities, happiness, and success. Remember, you will always be a part of our Natoma Station family, and we will cheer you on as you continue to do great things!
Murals
Courtney Hvostal, our amazing mural artist and NSE parent (...and crossing guard) captured a video of our students helping to paint our newest mural. The mural is beautiful in every way and allowed our Cheetahs to leave their "mark" at Natoma Station for years to come! Check out the time-lapse video included below.
Summer Fun and Learning
Check out the flyer below that includes suggestions for activities to do this summer. Also, Folsom Public Library offers a summer reading program - check out the link: https://folsom.beanstack.org/reader365
I wish you a fun and relaxing summer and I look forward to seeing our returning Cheetahs at our Back to School Bash on Wednesday, August 2.
Thank you for your partnership!
