Please check your child's backpack for a Library Reminder Ticket. Since our library sessions are over for the school year, all library books are to be returned. If your child has a Reminder Ticket, please look for the book, so your child can bring it back to me. If the book is lost, there will be a dollar amount at the bottom of the Reminder Ticket, to let you know how much money to send to me to cover the replacement cost. Thank you so much for your assistance.

What is CREW?

CREW is a non-profit that helps young people achieve their best in school and in life by providing mentoring at school. CREW stands for Courage, Resilience, Empowerment, and Wellbeing and is the first school-based mentoring program in Santa Rosa. Carefully selected adult mentors supported mentees for a two-year commitment. CREW trains these adult mentors spend at least an hour a week with their mentees in CREW center, located on our school campus (room 18). All mentors are screened, fingerprinted, trained and monitored during the mentoring time. CREW's goal is providing another caring adult in these students' lives.

Our CREW program manager is Lyn Romstad. She has created, organized, set up, and started recruiting mentors for CREW. She has been working with ECC to be a part of their 501c3 status and their board just approved the partnership this week.

If you would like more information, please contact Lyn at

We have some staffing changes for next year.

Ms. Amber is the front office is leaving us. She is changing career fields and is going to work for the SRJC police department as a dispatcher. We have hired Lisa Greco to fill her shoes. Lisa has started training and you will see her in the office next week training as well.

We have hired a new 6th-grade teacher for next year as well. Ms. Molavi, who covered for Mrs. Weber while she was on Medical leave, accepted the 6th-grade position for next year. She will be joining Ms. Gohl and Mr. Larson as part of the 6th-grade team.

Ms. Janet, aide in Kindergarten and First grade, and Ms. Celia, yard supervisor, are retiring this year. We wish them good luck on their next adventure.

Finally, Ms. Ballard, our RSP teacher, has decided to take a leave of absence for next year. She will be moving to Palm Springs to help care for her family. We are actively looking for someone to fill this position.
