Have you seen or had Myobacterium tuberculosis?
Myobacterium tuberculosis is the bacteria that causes tuberculosis. The bacteria has a waxy covering on its shell which makes it impervious to staining. It requires high levels of oxygen which is why it infects the respiratory system. During the 19th century it contributed to 25% of the deaths in Europe. It is most commonly found in places where there is poor general health. Symptoms include: persistent coughing and sputum or phlegm production or if it becomes serious this will change to blood, fever, chills, night sweats, and weight loss.
