PTA News
Boosterthon begins on Monday, May 2nd and runs through Wednesday, May 11th. The Big Event/Bear Danca-a-thon will happen on May 11th. Stay tuned for more information about Boosterthon.
The annual 5th grade dinner celebration is will take place on Thursday, June 2nd at the Secaucus Ice Rink. Details and information to follow.

New Jersey Student Learning Assessment
Torch Run
The Secaucus Police Department will be hosting its Annual Torch Run to support the Special Olympics on June 10, 2022. All Secaucus students could be eligible to participate and receive a t-shirt for a donation of $20. Those donating $100 or more to this cause will receive a special t-shirt. More information can be found in the attachments below.
Those wishing to make a small donation of $1 or more can do so in the school offices by purchasing a paper torch that will display their names, which will be displayed in a common area of the school.

April SGO Dress-Down Days
Incognito Day- Friday, 4/1 - In recognition of April Fool’s, students can come to school
wearing something that they are not recognized in. Suggestions are mustaches, silly hair,
sunglasses, masks, etc. Please refrain from wearing anything too distracting.
National Rainbow Day - Monday, 4/4 - In recognition of National Rainbow Day, students
are allowed to wear as many colors as they can, tye-dye or rainbow colored shirts. Uniform
bottoms are encouraged.
Student Athlete Appreciation Day - Wednesday, 4/6 - Students are encouraged to wear
their athletic jerseys/shirts for any and all sports played for Secaucus Recreation, Little
League, or other sports. Uniform bottoms are required.
Play Ball! MLB Opening Day 2022 - Thursday, 4/7 - Students can wear a baseball
jersey, t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc. displaying their favorite Major League Baseball team(s). Students may also wear baseball hats. Uniform bottoms are required.
Autism Awareness - Friday, 4/8 - In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, students
are encouraged to wear blue. Jeans are permitted. IF YOUR CHILD PARTICIPATES, a
donation of $1 is to be made. All donations will be given to “Autism Speaks”.
Spring is here...and so is break! - Thursday, 4/14 - Students are encouraged to wear
spring or bright colors. Dresses can be worn. Uniform bottoms are encouraged.
Earth Day - Monday, 4/25 - Students can wear a blue, green, brown, or shirt with an
Earth on it. Uniform bottoms are required.
“Come to the darkside” - Wednesday, 4/27 - Students are usually encouraged to wear
bright colors. Today, we are recognizing the other crayons in the box. Students are
encouraged to wear black or dark colors. Darth Vader would love this day!
National Superhero Day - Thursday, 4/28 - In recognition of National Superhero Day,
students can wear their favorite superhero shirt. Uniform bottoms are required.
