FTKillin' It
November is a very exciting and very busy time for VUDM! With less than three months until the Big Event, our registration and fundraising efforts are in full swing. Make sure your friends are registering on DonorDrive and that you're continuing to send out those fundraising emails! Remember that all committee members must reach the $250 fundraising minimum by the time we return from winter break.
Congrats to those committee members who have already raised $250 (or more!) FTK: Grayson Myers, Tatiana Baxter, Megan Friedman, Can Goksen, Samantha Soloway, Camille Cowart, Gloria Rothernberg, Jacqueline Chirdo, Sara Lichtenberg, Jordan DeTar, Laura Eule, Rose Winters, Katie Williamson, Mallory Morris, Sarah Heimberger, Brittany Silver, Garssandra Presumey-Leblanc, Madi Alexander, Emily Jaksich, Anne Walker, Meg McRee, Arielle Glass, Ashley Detherage, Alex Agee, Tobi Shitta-Bey, Katherine Merritt and Hannah Ladendorf!

FTK Bowl Flag Football Tournament
Come out to the FTK Bowl Flag Football Tournament this Sunday, November 16th, from 2-4 p.m. on Alumni Lawn. We will have a flag football tournament, food, face painting and more! Some of our Miracle Kids will be there too! If you want to make a team with your committee or friends, email kaleigh.c.flowers@vanderbilt.edu for more information.
Committee Member Spotlight
Congrats to Sam Soloway of the Morale committee for embodying the FTK spirit in all that she does for VUDM! According to Directors of Morale Carly Niebrugge and Logan Keller, Sam's passion and dedication are evident even after just a few moments of speaking with her: "From the moment she walked away from her interview, we knew she portrayed everything DM is about!" Sam never hesitates to be the first to jump into a discussion or a project, and she is always willing to go the extra mile in serving her committee.
Committee Member Spotlight
Our second Committee Member Spotlight for November is Taylor Hudson, also on Morale. Taylor has managed to epitomize FTK despite his hectic football schedule. He learned the entire PR dance on his own, and then proceeded to teach it to others for the 100 Days video. Taylor even recruited his teammates to participate in the video! "Taylor has done an incredible job balancing DM and his other activities," say Carly and Logan. "He's shown his passion and stayed involved even during one of the most stressful times of the year!" Congrats, Taylor!
Wolfpack Engagement Survey
One of our goals for the year is to make sure that all of our committee members feel connected to the VUDM organization and cause. In an effort to measure this, please take five minutes to fill out this anonymous committee member survey. Your insight is so important to the betterment and growth of VUDM. As an added incentive, the committee with the highest percentage of respondents will receive a special prize!
VUDM 2015 Donation
VUDM is very excited to announce that our 2015 and 2016 fundraising totals, in addition to supporting the work of neonatology fellow Dr. Tracie Walker, will benefit the Growing to New Heights capital campaign! The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is adding on four new inpatient floors to serve a growing population of children and their families. The money that we raise over the next two years will fund a new pediatric inpatient room to be named after Dance Marathon. To learn more about the campaign, watch the video below featuring our very own Miracle Child, Kael!
