Every year during the Winter Program, a dessert/silent auction is held to support the middle school’s yearly field trip. We appreciate any desserts or items that you would like to donate to help raise funds for their Science Trip in May. If you have any donated items, please feel free to drop them off at school or at Mt. Ellis before the program starts. Bidding will start before the concert at 6:00 and will end during the intermission. If you have any questions, please e-mail or call Mr. Drake.
Middle school parents, please e-mail Mr. Drake if you are able to help set-up, take-down or collect money. Thanks again for supporting the LaMotte middle school!
Santa's Workshop (sponsored by the Parent Group)
· December 17th * Santa’s Workshop sponsored by the Parent Group. Students can purchase gifts for immediate family members in prices ranging from $1 to $10. Parent group volunteers will assist with purchasing and will wrap gifts. Students should bring cash or a check made payable to the LaMotte Parent Group. If parents prefer to send a blank amount check please indicate on the memo line the spending limit per child or family. PLEASE send a note with your child if s/he is not going to purchase at Santa’s Workshop.
Ice Skating Rink
LaMotte School is making half of the grass area on our playground a skating rink for the students to enjoy at recess time as well as a little bit of PE time for the students to learn how to skate. With this thought, we are asking that you and your family go on a scavenger hunt to find some skates that maybe aren't being used. We do have a few skates but not near enough to fit everyone into a pair of skates, so your help would be greatly appreciated. LaMotte School would be grateful and the kids would love to be able to skate at recess.
The students will be required to have a helmet, also brought from home, in order to skate on the skating rink as well.
If your son or daughter already has a pair of skates that they would like to keep on school grounds for the time being and use, great! That would be great. But if nobody is using skates and they are just laying around collecting dust, the students at LaMotte will put them to good use.
If there are any questions about this, please email the health enhancement teacher, Mr. Bleskin, at jbleskin@lamotteschool.com.
Thank you!
