Writer, Composer, Educator, Technologist
Education and Background (Abridged)
My Bachelor's Degree is in Music Education, and I taught K-12 Vocal Music for 3 years out of college.
This was followed by a move to Omaha, NE, and work as a private music instructor (and a lot of community theatre), which all lead to my first Instructional Technology job at Bellevue University in Bellevue, NE.
Even though I was enjoying this new world of online learning that I had stumbled into, I knew that I wanted to continue my education in music, so in 2011, I began attending Oklahoma City University, and in 2013, I received my MM in Music Composition.
While I had never intended to stay in Oklahoma after completing my degree, by my final semester, two surprising things had happened: 1. The Instructional Technologist position at OCU opened. 2. I met, fell in love with, and got engaged to an Oklahoma Pharmacist (who is now my husband).
And the rest, as they say, is history.
